Hello, my name is Joey, and I am taking this summer school class to add to my units at LMU (Loyola Marymount University) in Los Angeles, so I can graduate in three and one half years. I took an online class from Professor Geurrrini last summer, too, and her class ended up being my favorite online class that I have ever taken. I live in Santa Rosa with my mom, dad, sister, and am about three miles from the SRJC. I hope to learn more about other cultures, religions, races, and ethnicities which allow for all of us to further our understanding. I believe that we are all more alike than different. I look forward to creating this blog, for I have created a web-page but never a blog. I look forward to this class and meeting new people.

So happy to have you in class for humanities this semester and so happy that you enjoyed the interdisciplinary Latin American Studies course as well. So happy that you also have met someone else through this course and have interacted through the comment postings. This is exactly what I want students to experience -- connections of all sorts not just class assignments. It will also be a great place for students to leave me a common question that might help the entire class. SUPER! Welcome aboard, Joseph! ps when you get a chance, use the edit tool to do a comparison mileage count (go to google, click maps, insert your SR home to SRJC, then enter your home address in LA to SRJC. Curious about the distance. We also will use the tool later for another assignment).
